Channel Tunnel vs ferry

Should I take Le Shuttle or the ferry?

P&O and DFDS Dover-Calais ferries start at around £39 each way against Le Shuttle’s £59 Day Trip. But Le Shuttle is roughly an hour faster terminal-to-terminal, immune to weather and far better for pets. For families of four or more, per-head cost works out similar or in Le Shuttle’s favour. For solo travellers and motorhomes, the ferry usually wins.
